The Village of Schools puts the European producers and film-makers who have recently graduated from the most prestigious European cinema schools in a place of honour. Several schools offering a production curriculum are invited. Each of them is represented by a film-maker/producer “couple” of recent graduates along with a professor or the head of the production department from the respective school.
The recent graduates participate with the film they made within the framework of their end-of-study project in a school film competition. A prize is awarded by a jury composed of three prominent members of the profession.
Film-maker/producer “couples” will also have the opportunity to present their first feature film to the confirmed professionals invited to the festival.
The aims of the Village of Schools are to provide a meeting venue for future and confirmed talents, favour the communication among schools and reveal new film-makers and producers.
